The Frenchies Rebellion
Building Character, One Story at a Time
Welcome to VRB Books!
Hello and welcome! I'm Vanessa Richardson Bagby-educator, children's author, and advocate for kindness, acceptance, and character development.
For 25 years, I had the privilege of helping students learn, grow, and believe in themselves. Today, I continue that mission through stories that encourage empathy, inclusion, and thoughtful decision-making.
The Frenchies Rebellion is more than a children's book. It is a character-building story that opens the door to conversations about kindness, empathy, inclusion, and accepting others. My hope is to inspire children to choose compassion over bullying and discover that there is always room for one more friend, family member and classmate.
Whether you're a parent, teacher, librarian, counselor, or young reader, thank you for visiting VRB Books. I hope these stories bring smiles, spark meaningful conversations, and leave a lasting impact on every child who reads them.
Three Frenchies. One Home, Zero plans for Sharing.
Life was perfect for Quavo, Aiko, and Nikko until he
arrived.
A clumsy little Cane Corso named Onyx.
He drooled. He played. He stole the spotlight!
The Frenchies had no choice...
It was time for a rebellion.
From missing socks to top-secret "Operation
Return-to-Sender," these clever pups will stop at
nothing to take back their throne until they learn that
maybe, just maybe, there's enough love (and belly rubs)
to go around.
A heartwarming and hilarious story about friendship,
family, and finding room for one more wagging tail.

The God I know
The God I serve is a God of unconditional love, compassion, patience, understanding, mercy, and grace. He is a forgiving God of second, third, fourth chances and more. I believe in God and His Son Jesus Christ. Never was I taught to believe in a denomination such as Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, Pentecostal, Muslim, or Presbyterian. My Father, as I understand Him, requires me to believe He is God, my Savior, and my Lord.
When I Met God
Being raised in a Baptist church, somehow I never acquired a religious title. I don’t remember very much about my childhood years. They have somehow been blocked from my memory. When I speak to others about their formative years, many can remember when they were five, six, and seven in detail. Not me!!! Other than attending church, I can't recall much from my elementary school years. But there is one exception: a memory I hold dear to my heart... I met God!
These are just a few reflections from Walk By Faith.
